Firstly, our mission at Stage by Stage is to raise awareness of why mental coaching is an essential part of the make up of anyone interested in competing in motorsport. Like the vast majority of competitors in other sports, we think this is vital. However, most motorsport competitors do not see the importance.

Therefore we agree with Timothy Gallwey, a Godfather of coaching. One of his Inner Game philosophies, is that ‘your biggest competitor is the one inside your head’.

With that in mind, the content we will bring you here will focus on understanding how to beat the competitor that’s inside your head.

Why should you bother?

I have over 25 years of experience as a motorsport coach, which includes coaching competitors to become World Champions. I have also become a World Rally Champion Co-driver. Having started competing at the age of 14, I went on to co-drive in hundreds of rallies over 27 years. As a result, I have a wealth of experience to share.
